This is due to their special design: in the front area of the waist, they are reminiscent of slalom carvers, while the rear area is designed like a race carver. As they are less wide than all-mountain skis, skiers can reach higher speeds.
If you are an ambitious skier with experience, you should opt for the race or slalom carvers. They offer ultimate carving action at high speeds thanks to good edge grip. While slalom carvers enable tight radii due to their low waist, race carvers are best suited for long turns.
