Slalom, all-mountain or race - which ski is right for you?

On the one hand, this naturally includes your ability, on the other hand your preferences for speed, type of piste, the radii of curves or off-piste skiing.
If you are a beginner and are looking for a real all-rounder, all-mountain or all-round skis are a good choice. They are very versatile and also cut a fine figure off-piste. Due to their width, they are rather sluggish on the piste, but this is precisely why they are particularly popular with beginners and those returning to the sport. They also forgive skiing mistakes and are easy on the skis.
Sport carvers are just as versatile, but much faster. They are a perfect combination of all-round, all-mountain, race and slalom carvers. This is due to their special design: in the front area of the waist, they are reminiscent of slalom carvers, while the rear area is designed like a race carver. As they are less wide than all-mountain skis, skiers can reach higher speeds.
If you are an ambitious skier with experience, you should opt for the race or slalom carvers. They offer ultimate carving action at high speeds thanks to good edge grip. While slalom carvers enable tight radii due to their low waist, race carvers are best suited for long turns.
