DESCRIPTION

The Atomic Backland 102 is an outstanding ski for freeride ski tourers, offering reliable performance on both the ascent and descent. This model shares many features with the wider Backland 109, including the FreeTour profile that ensures powerful downhill performance.

Equipped with an Ultra Light Woodcore made from poplar and Karuba wood, the Backland 102 impresses with its low weight and outstanding stability. This combination makes the ski an efficient partner for both ascents and descents.

The innovative, lightweight HRZN 3D shovel expands the contact surface, which improves flotation in powder and also guarantees outstanding properties in crushed snow or broken harsh terrain. The Powder Rocker, a combination of a pronounced rise in the tip and tail of the ski and a preload under the binding, enables effortless steering and playful performance in a wide range of snow conditions.

Developed with Austrian backcountry expert Matthias Haunholder, the Backland 102 offers the perfect mix of flow and performance, ideal for skiers who don't want to compromise on both the ascent and descent.
