With this binding, Atomic has focussed on maximum functionality and robustness, in keeping with the style of the entire Backland series. Particularly practical: thanks to the patented step-in aid on the toe piece, your boot is automatically brought into the correct position, which makes stepping in extremely easy.
Another highlight are the two flexibly adjustable climbing aids. These can be folded forwards independently of the toe piece and offer you three different walking steps: 0°, 7° and 13°. This allows you to adapt perfectly to the terrain and climb efficiently.
The 40 mm wide mounting plate, which was developed for first-class power transmission, especially with wider skis, ensures optimum performance. Despite its sturdy construction, the Backland Tour weighs just 398g per pair including stoppers. They are also compatible with standard crampons and offer an impressive 50mm of sole length adjustment for maximum flexibility.
