The Sweet Protection Volata MIPS Team Edition Helmet - Ragnhild Mowinckel 003 is the latest FIS-approved racing helmet, developed for all disciplines of ski racing. This special Team Edition design was created in close co-operation with the athlete Ragnhild Mowinckel and combines the highest safety standards with modern style. The helmet can be optionally equipped with a slalom chin guard, which can be fitted and removed without tools (sold separately).
The Volata MIPS uses a thermoplastic ABS shell with variable elasticity and Impact Shields technology, which distributes impact forces over a larger area in critical zones. In addition, the integrated gate shields at the front and rear protect the helmet from hard impacts through slalom gates. The outstanding feature of this helmet is the innovative 3-layer MIPS system, which reduces rotational forces on the head and thus minimises the risk of brain injuries.
