With a 102 mm waist, the Mantra 102 is at home both on and off the piste. Its geometry with a 3D radius sidecut and a centre radius reduced to 19 m makes this ski not only an integral part of our all-mountain collection, but also a universally applicable freerider.
The newly used Tailored Carbon Tips in combination with a Tailored Titanal Frame open up completely new creative possibilities. The Mantra 102 is sporty but also relaxed and performs not only off-piste but also on the piste.
Tailored Technologies - exclusive to Völkl
With the Tailored Titanal Frame construction, the width of the Titanal upper band can be adapted to the length of the ski. The resulting torsional rigidity and the desired damping behaviour can be tailored to the skier. For shorter skis, the proportion of Titanal is reduced so that shorter and lighter skiers can also get the most out of their skis without too much effort. The new Tailored Carbon Tips make the Mantra extremely versatile.
Carbon fibres applied by means of Tailored Fibre Placement (TFP) enable engineers to influence the cornering behaviour with great precision. The strength and orientation of the fibres define the required force and energy, which is built up exactly where it is needed. One feature that is particularly worth emphasising is the agile shovel response: as soon as you initiate a turn, the ski can be controlled with ease and precision. In other words, just think about changing direction - and it happens.
The construction also allows for less weight without sacrificing stability. A multi-layer wood core, full-length sidewalls and a P-Tex 2100 base round off the features of this freeride powerhouse with tip and tail rocker.
